How To Clean Your Kitchen With Natural Ingredients?

Usually, people use their kitchen on a daily basis whether they will cook, make a drink, or simply make a sandwich. This means that a kitchen should be cleaned often in order to get rid of germs, build-up, greasy stains, and all sorts of other impurities.

In my opinion, the best way to deal with all the kitchen-related cleaning chores is by avoiding any commercial cleaners and switch over to cleaning with natural ingredients. That way you will stay away from all those harsh toxic chemicals which are in commercial cleaner but you will also be able to spend less money and still achieve the same results!

Cleaning the counters

If you want to clean and disinfect your counters with one product then this recipe will be perfect for you!

Grab a large glass jar where you will mix everything. Cut two lemongrass stalks into small pieces and peel two limes. Place them in the jar and pour a cup of vinegar. Place the lid and shake the ingredients.

Leave the jar overnight so that it has time to infuse. That way the vinegar won’t smell bad. Then remove the peels of the lime and the lemongrass and pour the mixture into a spray bottle!

Deep clean your dishwasher

You should deep clean your dishwasher every two months. How can you do that? By making your own dishwasher tablets and running an empty hot cycle with them!

Mix a cup of washing soda and a cup of baking soda. You also need a cup of salt and a cup of water. Mix everything well and add 1/2 cup of citric acid.

Now, once you are done press the mixture in ice cube trays and leave them until they are completely dry. And by now, they are ready to be used!

Clean your sponges

Sponges absorb a lot of germs which is why they need to be replaced often. I recommend you replace them once every two weeks – and in between these two weeks, you still need to disinfect them.

You can easily do that by soaking them for a few hours in vinegar and lavender essential oil. Why is the oil necessary? It contains powerful antibacterial properties which will help with removing the germs!
